Why do you ask users to provide their date of birth?

You might be wondering, if we predict your biological age, why do we ask for your date of birth? 😊

This is due to the specifics of how our AI model works. You see, instead of predicting your biological age directly, we predict something called biological age acceleration.

Biological age acceleration is the difference between your body's biological age and your chronological age. For example, if you're 35 but your biological age is 30, your age acceleration is -5. Our model predicts this number, not your biological age directly.

If we don't know your birthdate, we can't show you charts of your chronological age versus your biological age. We'd only be able to show the difference between these ages. That's why we need your birthdate.
