I have specified an incorrect date of birth, and now GeroSense thinks I'm significantly younger or older. Why is it?

This is due to the specifics of how our AI model works. You see, instead of predicting your biological age directly, we predict something called biological age acceleration.

Biological age acceleration is the difference between your body's biological age and your chronological age. For example, if you're 35 but your biological age is 30, your age acceleration is -5. Our model predicts this number, not your biological age directly.

We add biological age acceleration to your chronological age, which you specified, to calculate the biological age. Therefore, if you set an incorrect date of birth, your biological age will be incorrect.
